Lanka dehan by Hanuman:
When Sita got abducted Lord Ram sent Shri Hanuman to look out for Sita. After destroying the pahal Vatika (garden of Fruits) Shri Hanuman gets caught by the son of Ravana who was known as Meghnad. When he was brought to the court of Ravana, Sri Hanuman introduced him as a messenger of Lord Ram and asks him to free Sita but Ravana insulted and humiliated him and did not even offer him a seat as he was angry on his behavior. Instead of feeling humiliated, Sri Hanuman made himself a seat by longing his tail and sat on it. Seeing this Ravana got enraged and asked his soldiers to captivate Sri Hanuman and kill him. Vibhishan, who was Ravana’s brother and the court’s minister intervened and told that a messenger could not be killed. Listening to this Ravana ordered that monkeys are very fond of their tails and thus Sri Hanuman’s tail must be tied with rags of cloths, dipped in oil and should be set on fire. Sri Hanuman used his powers and made his tail so long until all the cloth in Lanka was used up. When his tail was finally set on fire, he jumped and had set entire Lanka on fire.
