To show the face in the painting was essential to express mother's peaceful, calm emotions with eyes closed, happily praying for her forthcoming child to Maa Durga. I have used warm colors in the dark background to show prominent light source coming out of garbo ( Clay pot with lamp inside) to depict positive energy removing darkness of the life.
