About Artist

Bikash Poddar, born in 1958, in Kaliyaganj, North Bengal, took his Diploma in Applied Arts from the Government College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata. Bikash’s water works, though predominantly naturescapes, features human figures engaged in conversation. It is almost like the calm before a storm and the dialogue between these two figures, then could be nothing but the precariousness of life; caught in and between situations.
