About Artist

After finishing college and being exposed to the elements of the real world, my understanding of art has undergone a huge transformation. I have always been interested in human forms, and the kind of extension it finds and flows in its surroundings. The face and figures that inhabit these spaces are rusted, dirty, and filled with hope and despair. The various emotional shades that they carry with them, a certain sense of colour, are what I try to capture in its essence and bring into my work. To be able to handle and arrange the multiplicity of this whole experience, to paint this never ending landscape where people stumble into, pass-through, and interact with is what excites me, and this is what I feel I am going to pursue for my creations. I want to recreate forms – solid and compressed; full of dents made from the encounter with the time. Like a tiny stone, even its tininess is a unique example of the development of whole universe. When you see a man, you also see forgotten ancestors of it, the prehistoric history of making it. The realm, hidden under the surfaced realm is extremely compressed like a black hole. Though this idea is too abstract for me to draw, I try to compensate by drawing in the shape of known forms around me. A thought seems a solid object to me, one that you can touch and smell. Even a feather has a weight that we can measure. A space has a mass that surrounds us. Every abstract has its expanded form. Even in the dump of deep subconscious, old forgotten memories seem so dense and solid that existing reality looks viscous in comparison. I want to bring such density of thought into my paintings.
