Anuradha's tryst with tribal people started in her childhood in Maharashtra, which metamorphosis into paintings at a later age. She has since created several series of paintings based on tribal people, She has travelled extensively to remote parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur and Nepal (Different tribal places in India) to gain insight into the lifestyle for her work. She has sensitively brought out simplicity, transparency, contentment in life and Celebration of life using black on white canvas with earthen colours. It's appreciable that she has shown different textures to express minute details, emotions and depth in her paintings. On the other hand she has added subtle earthen colours to subdue the black giving the painting a delicate feel.
