Bali and Sugreev fight and Lord Ram killing Bali: Bali and Sugreev were two monkey brothers who ruled the kingdom of Kishkindha near the river Pampa. Bali was the son of Indra(King of Heaven) and was stronger and Sugreev was the son of Surya (Sun God). One day, an enemy named “Mayavi” attacked and Bali decided to kill him. In the process of fights entered a cave and Bali told Sugreev to guard the cave until he returns. He waited and when Bali did not come out, he assumed he died and sadly returned to the kingdom and started ruling it. However, one fine day Bali returned and thought that Sugreeva had betrayed him. He fought with him, became the king and captured his wife Roma forcefully. Sugreeva started living along with his friends Nal, Neel, Jambvant, and Hanuman at Rishimukh Mountain as his brother Bali could not reach this place due to a curse placed on him by Sage Matang. Once, Rama and Lakshmana, reached the Rishimukh Mountain searching for Sita and met Sugreev. On listening to Ram’s story, they agreed to help him find Sita but in return, they asked Ram to rescue Sugreev’s wife and regain the kingdom of Kishkindha. Rama instructed Sugreeva to challenge Bali for a wrestling match and he will kill Bali during that match. When the battle started, Ram was unable to aim his arrow towards Bali as both brothers looked alike, being monkeys. After Bali won the first round, Ram asked Sugreev to wear a garland which would make it easier for him to target Bali. Hiding behind the tree, Ram aimed his arrow on Bali’s heart and he fell to death.
