Lord Ram breaking God Shiva’s bow: This is a scene from the Sita's Swayamvar(marriage ceremony) where King Janaka announced that whosoever would be able to lift the mighty bow given to him by God Shiva's disciple Parshuram and break it will be the chosen groom for his beloved daughter Sita. Many great Kings tried lifting the bow up but even their combined strength was not enough to move it. Finally, with the permission of Sage Vishwamitra Lord Ram went ahead and lifted the bow with great ease. He drew the bowstring and broke the bow into two.
