CONCEPT BEHIND THE ARTWORK:The work titled 'Beauty of Transition' is a set of 24 obvara forms which were initially wheel thrown and later modified into delicate forms inspired by the unpredictable yet the beautiful nature around me. The transition from a uniform wheel thrown piece to an un/uniform piece is an attempt to appreciate the unique nature we dwell in and our lives which is not so uniform/planned, there is always an element of surprise. Each piece was treated with Obvara firing to further create harmonious dissimilarity. The pieces symbolizes life which may look monotonous yet each passing day has something new to offer and to look forward to. The work completely signifies the different shades of life- sometimes white, sometimes black and sometimes grey. The work celebrates transition and its beauty.
