Ashish Tanwar has a Masters in Fine Arts (sculpture) from the prestigious College of Art, New Delhi. Born in 1984, Ashish Tanwar lives and works from his beloved Dilli, where he has showcased in various elite National and International shows. Ashish’s work has not only been recognized nationally but has also been acknowledged overseas – particularly in the United Kingdom and Russia. He has participated in several group shows, art workshops and symposiums all over the world as well as his works having being a part of museum collections around the country and abroad. Ashish’s current work, in his words is a “sincere attempt to reflect his interpretation of the socio-cultural ethos” he’s surrounded by and give a modern physical shape to it. One of his early works is a giant Godess sculpture (141 Feet Height) installed in Vrindavan, Mathura under the wide open sky. He has also contributed to mural and relief work for DMRC. As well as designed for Jaipur and Bhadurgarh Iskon temples. For Ashish Tanwar, his sculptures are expressions of his thoughts and a journey to seek out and reach his inner soul. His constant quest for spirituality finds expressions in his work. For him, it is not only important to express the outer form but also to use it in relation with the spiritual vitality. Ashish’s ability to let his intuition guide him through the distance between the conception and realization without compromising the integrity of the original idea, can be seen in many of his works.

Marble is one of the earliest materials to have been used by mankind in art & architecture. Be it the Romans or the Greeks, all ancient civilizations took marble to create artifacts that defined art for generations to come. A timeless symbol of elegance, marble exudes qualities of strength and beauty. GANESHA IN WHITE AND BLACK MARBLE- All of my sculptures start out with a dream. The dream to create something beautiful, the dream to connect with others and the dream that anything is possible.
