Born in 1981 in Kolkata, Santanu has a BFA in Sculpture from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, and an MVA in Sculpture from M. S. University, Baroda. He has been awarded the Best Sculpture Award by the West Bengal State Akademy of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Art (2014) and is the recipient of the 2013 Charukala Academy Research Grant Scholarship. His works are now part of the Lalit Kala Akademi’s collection in New Delhi and various other public and private collections in India.
