About Artist

I began my journey as an Artist in the 1980’s. From the recognisable form for several years, was born the essence of the real when abstraction became the matrix of my work. As an artist I have worked with several media and have expressed myself in the still, as well as the moving image, in drawings , paintings, photography, and video I continue with my quest of over 35 years, each time engaging with the belief that there is something beyond us that makes everything happen. I feel that the feeling of autonomy is just a feeling of an individual manifested out of the timeless one, where the timeless one has to somehow manifest itself into form to be able to speculate to remember and to confirm! The picture continues to unfold on the surface of the paper or canvas and every image that emerges is testimony to the essence of the life force which appears in it. Each image unfolds the present moment for me where I am a part of it as well as apart from it. My most recent works are all infused with the Universal energy appearing in the form of line tone texture and colour. Spaces are built and the visual becomes a point of recognition of that which can only be felt and not really be deciphered as a physical reality. The larger Universal picture continues to unfold each time a composition appears in a never ending flow ! Kavita Jaiswal [Video - Kavita Jaiswal: Completion Calls for Disintegration]

Description

The form for me released itself from its surface tension , setting free a plethora of experience on paper and canvas.
