Saba Hasan is a multidisciplinary artist working on book installations, photographs, paintings, videos and sound since 1998. Her forte is abstract and philosophical art exploring the realm of spirituality, values of life, poetics of nature and truth. Saba has exhibited widely in India and internationally in Paris, New York, Lisbon, Salzburg, Milan, Colombo, Singapore and Florence. She is a recipient of the prestigious Raza Award for painting in 2005 and international fellowships from Syracuse University, New York and the Cultural Ministry, France in 2006. Her latest body of work comprising photographs and videos is being presented at the Tenshun Okakura gallery, by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi.
