My connection to nature and my passion for birds led me to explore unexpected places and things - nature, the beautiful world of the birds, hidden places, and objects. My abstract figurative works follow a rhythm and verbalise our own relations with different patterns in life. Almost all the paintings have a circular ball of energy; the sun, which depicts the be all and end all of God’s creations. It is a source of energy that gives life to all. The influence of the abstraction with experimentation in textures, light and shade can be seen in the works.
Everything around me looks different the minute I pick up my camera. Life never stops being interesting when you see how much beauty exists all around you. The photographs are in the most ordinary places. I need to capture fleeting moments in time, and having a way to remember them forever in this amazingly complex world, I want to be able to remember the feeling, the smell, the essence of the place in time at that particular moment.
As an Artist, I capture the energy by painting layers and keeping it simple. Starting with very little, creating layers bit by bit; I may use rags, towels and my bare hands, sometimes I don’t even use a brush. Greenery keeps me going, the trees and the beautiful birds just move on their own in the stillness and quiet, reflecting on my work and seeking out peaceful spaces.. I don't start with an image in mind rather my work has evolved consistently out of a connection to nature and its quietness.
I am currently working from my studio in New Delhi and showing my works successfully at reputed galleries in New Delhi.
