About Artist

Educational Qualification: B.F.A[2010] from Rabindra Bharati University. M.F.A[2012] from Rabindra Bharati University. About my work: The whole idea of my artwork is to express myself visually. My ideas come from my daily life, the lives of people around me, people's daily routines and sometimes a critical view of social, political and cultural issues. My works deal with the chaotic, overcrowded, generalized and overpopulated society we are battering in. The battle therefore lies for inner peace. Ever since my childhood, I have always had a great connect with nature, and its simplistic and cultural rhythmic life. I also have a deep interest in child art (simplistic designs) and folk art. Till date, I like living the simple life instead of blindly following the materialistic world. The world is a never-ending pool of wants. I feel like it is my duty to make society realize the ill effects of being completely materialistic and plastic. Art is the way we respond to our environment. Due to my professional career, I stay at a metropolitan city [Kolkata], but I always dream about that simple life. The dream of a simplistic life is the main oxygen of my artwork. As a medium for my artwork, I mainly use earth colors [art powder color], pen and ink. Although earth color, as a medium, is rarely used in these days, the color provides for me a feeling of soil. Apart from this I like traveling, photography, listening to music, cooking and growing cacti.

Description

we can always think about our well being. But we have to consider at some some point that our well beings, mental peace, depends on the nature, more than our own created technology. At some point, we have to agree that “Nature is the art of God.”
