About Artist
Sheetal Singh is a self taught artist from New Delhi. Her goal is to create paintings that have a story from
the bygone era and are appealing to the eye.
Since the return to her original passion, she has done fairly well in this hard to crack art world. She
established a studio where she experiments with messy techniques like mixed media mosaics, mixed
media collage, acrylic skins, plaster sculptures.
Her still life works clearly refer to the world of French Baroque Art . The ornate detailing gives her great
scope to experiment with her various art techniques.
Her painting she likes to call "Series" landscapes, collages, horses, Interiors keep a balance between
Impressionism and Modern art .The subject of her painting is used as a strategy to bring out the mixed
media techniques that go from collage to acrylic to wax. Her painting love to express jewel tones, texture
and deliberate imperfections.
She has been exhibiting since 2010 and has participated in various successful shows. Apart from India she
has sold her work in the international market.
I love colours and tools basically the whole concept of painting. Painting gives me Joy. I do collages, still life interiors in which I used Berock French style furniture in my painting. I do mix media in which I use different techniques like wax, acrylic, and acrylic transverse, that’s what gives it the mix media look. I use very bright colours which is the USP of my painting. My bright colours in the painting communicate happiness. There are lot of sorrows and tensions in our daily life, so when you see bright colours around you feel better.
