Photography only leads his keen interest in painting. His graphic approach helps him his composition in painting. His use of subtle color and geometrical forms creates interrogative conversation of colors and forms on canvas. The interplay of color tonal variation leads to meaningful approach to painting. Shashikant is a renowned Professional Photographer based in Chennai. He has a remarkable contribution to the field of Photography. In 1982 he got his degree in BFA (Applied) from Nagpur University. In the same year through campus interview Mr. K R Billimoria, the then Creative art director at RK Swamy Advertising Associates, Chennai, selected him. He is been appointed as an in house photographer in RK Swamy. This incidence was a turning point in his life. Shashi is a prolific person graced with inner aesthetic sensibility and great talent. He got exposed to diverse arena of work and volume of work as well. He worked for many well-known brands. In 1990 he started his own studio in his own Photography studio. Creative urge and unique approach towards advertising photography made him to start his own establishment. His contribution to the advertising agency was in broad spectrum like Food, Fashion, Industrial, Jewellery, people etc. Quality work and comfort zone for the client was most valued for him. He was associated with almost all the agencies in Chennai and around. Most of the campaign by ad agencies achieved awards in association with his work interaction. Shashikant compositions are today much sought after by some of India’s award-winning advertising agencies and production houses.
