As an artist I endeavour to narrate a story through each of my work, which is through oil paint on canvas, and mixed medium on paper, that provides me more freedom. My art stories are inspired by real-life experiences, and are visualised and exhibited utilising a multitude of unusual images depicting the salient aspects of the story in my creation. Primarily, the basic DNA of my work revolves around humans and humanity in its various forms, facilitated by a rich blend of travelling, meeting people, and changing surroundings every few years, since my growing up years. This constant change has been the elixir for my creativity and experimentation.
I love to use a pallete of colours, balancing and mixing them by using neutrals with different hues. The catalyst for my work is the contemporary world in all its positivity and fault lines, but you will clearly see the influence of conventional thought process, that perhaps defines me and indicates my roots. I am a realist but highly positive person; but in my art you will find me taking liberties whilst keeping the output highly sincere and honest. I feel evolved and liberated as a human being after completing each of my composition. I do, however, believe that ‘The more you learn, the deeper is the connect with your craft’. My learning, thus, continues as I feel both enslaved and liberated by Art.
I have honed my artistic skills at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi. However, my constant movements and changing surrounding are reflected in my art, which have been hugely influenced by previous experience as a fashion designer/ illustrator for many years.
