About Artist

Sailesh Sanghvi has been devoting his time to fine arts, since his schooldays, and has had many private exhibitions of his paintings to date. As an artist, Sanghvi, has refused to travel on the beaten path, giving himself time to explore both his subject-matters, and the various mediums in fine art. Throughout his creative journey, the artist has experimented with many mediums, fearlessly exploring new vistas, eager to search out his identity as an artist. Sensitive to the variegated, colourful moods of nature, As well as the joy of working in pure colours and abstractions, and playing with forms and colours, the artist, finds immense creative satisfaction, and freedom in his abstract works. Taking his inspiration from nature and the changing seasons, he has given his imagination free-play, producing works that are both vibrantly colourful, and meditative thoughtful. The artist, Sailesh Sanghvi, through his canvas collages has explored the folklife of India, depicting it in vivacious, ever-changing colours and moods, expressing the vitality of human life. If in one work the folks are busy with the daily grind of life, in the next, there is the joyous, dancing colours of festivals and fairs. These art-works are like the ever moving feet, and ever changing moods of the folk dancers whom the artist has depicted on many of his canvases.

Description

This is a beautiful artwork of acrylic canvas collage. The artist has shown in detail the denizens of a typical temple town and their multifarious activities; monkeys on roof tops and temple spires, fruit and flower vendors; sadhus with their trishul the priests, under umbrellas; people bathing, and in boats; and a pantheon of Hindu gods and goddesses.
