RM Palaniappan (b. 1957) obtained a Post diploma from the College of Art & Crafts in Chennai, and was the head of the graphics workshop at the Regional Centre of Lalit Kala Akademi in Chennai. Over the course of his career, he has exhibited throughout India and world, including solo shows in the USA, Mexico, Canada, Syria, Cuba, Finland, Taiwan, France, England, Japan and Spain. He has also received numerous grants and awards, including the National Award in 1996.
