The glint in the eyes of my One-year-old son, when he sees a new toy in a store, is unmistakable. His whole world converges on that one object of desire. Nothing else in the world holds greater happiness for him at that moment...While I look at him childish craving in amusement, thinking how one can be so fascinated by something so utterly useless, a realization dawns on me.  Isn't his innocent craving summing up our lives? Aren't our lives never-ending successions of wanting this or that? And then quickly coming to terms with our gain and wanting something else? Or sulking when we do not get our toy? My paintings in this series tell the tale of the toy-store that is life. For sometimes, it can be unnerving to realize that as I am busy putting my life together, someone looks on in amusement...
