About Artist
To describe the artist’s view of art, Oscar Wilde’s words do complete justice, “Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter”.
It is with this conviction that the artist began and then evolved his artistic ventures over a span of 7 years across three continents ( Asia, North America & Europe). He centres his focus on the shrouded and disguised nature of art to depict the complications and entaglements of life through a combination of colour, texture and symbols.
The artist sees himself as a philosopher with a fervid perspective of life which he critiques through art in its holistic form.Using different mediums such as oil, charcoal, pencils, he then tries to captivate the viewers as well as evoke strong emotions and thoughts about life. He uses rich tones of colour with overlapping layers and symbols to give a sense of enigma and perplexity that portrays life itself.
As a result, his work transforms the standard notion of reality into an expressive conundrum. "I believe only art has the power to take people to a different realm of reality, like Tower of Babel or Hanging Gardens of Babylon , which don’t exist in reality but do exist in imagination and in our thoughts", he says .
The artist lives and works out of Hyderabad, India, along with his wife. Together, they create a unique blend of art and creative literature.
