Description
An advocate of political rights, a social reformer, economist, researcher, lawyer, editor, politician and a visionary leader, especially of the oppressed classes. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar symbolises the ‘Constitution’, and the notions of ‘Equality’ itself. The foundation of the Nation built on the foundation of the Constitution and its directive principles to ensure us fundamental rights. Without shedding a drop of blood Dr. Ambedkar paved a revolution through knowledge, a path through Education for the underprivileged, through reservation reforms and, protective measures through labor reforms for the working classes. He ensured dignity by redefining ways of liberation. An acute need felt in current times of the Pandemic, which destabilizes various sectors, giving us another reason to evoke the basic rights, for the common man, especially the ones at the fringes of the society.
Black and white images of Dr. Ambedkar are available, but if one desires to have a glimpse of the great leader in today’s times, how can it be made possible? Mohsin attempts and transfers a black and white photo in a coloured version to create a realistic presence of his, to represent a visionary leader who added colour to the lives of millions. It is the very form of Realism, which enables Mohsin to create a realistic interpretation, to pay a tribute.
