About Artist

I am an Artist with considerable achievement to my credit in spite of my Deafness and Tunnel Vision. I have struggled hard to accomplish excellence in the field of Fine Arts (Painting and Print Making). Over the past 36 years, I have attended print making, research courses, Residency of Artist and higher study abroad. I have held over 90 solo, group and participation exhibitions of my works in India and Abroad. My works have won me wide acclaim along with numerous Award, Fellowships and Scholarships. My works are usually based on the surroundings that interests me. I explore the possibilities of making ordinary people intense protagonists. Human beings mingling freely to create a world of fantasy which is a unique perception of myself. The works I have included were made during my stay in can serrat, Spain I was very much impressed by the landscape and architecture of the place. Hence I’ve explored the fantasy of Indian subjects in Spanish setting and vice-versa. A nude in a gallery all in different directions, most often not in the attitude they are normally found. But what might sound incongruous when explained, I believe actually creates a sense of naïve and charming intimacy. My color usage revolves around rich blues, reds and yellows, and powerful ochre. A strong vigorous line delineates my forms which arch and buckle across my surface.
