The painting marathon of Artist Eby N Joseph, titled ‘Kerala Darsanam’ commenced in the year 2000, reached its goal of completing one thousand paintings of the landscape, history and culture of Kerala, renowned world over as God's Own Country. Now he is into his second mega project, titled ‘Bharatha Darsanam’, a herculean task of depicting the social, cultural and geographical diversity of our motherland ‘Bharatham’ to the canvas. A wide spectrum canvas, reflecting the natural, ethnic and mystical richness of this wonderful country.
An eye-catching visual extravaganza is being prepared, for the decade long painting expedition. This one of its kind marathon art endeavor will be flagged off at Thiruvananthapuram on 26th November 2012. The first part of the ‘Bharatha Darsanam’ exhibition is titled ‘Kerala and Gujarat’ and it consists of 25 paintings, done in acrylic. Highlights of Porbandar, the birth place of Mahatmaji, and the breathtaking landscapes of Kerala are the themes for the starting phase, of the ‘Bharatha Darsanam’ exhibition. Among the 25 paintings in the series, some rare portraits of Mahatmaji are also included.
