About Artist
Currently I am engaged with studio practicing in Ghaziabad. Apart from my subject knowledge as a sculptor I also have been experimenting with various media including painting, video Installations, Sound Art, Site Specific and Interactive Sculpture. My works are the narratives of the condition of human life in the social, political and economical scenario of India as this experience reflects in my day to day memories and incidents, similar to every common man’s life.
As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe would say “There is no surer method of evading the world than by following Art, and no surer method of linking oneself to it than by Art.” An artist is the most sensitive citizen and when it comes to his contribution to the society he often like the back window of a car whose wipers clean the dust off from time to time. I create my works keeping in mind the daily notion and very regular chores in life. What I see is I create! I usually use mediums which can be explored through and also satirically worked upon. If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him. We humans are an extremely important manifestation of the replication bomb, because it is through us - through our brains, our symbolic culture and our technology - that the explosion may proceed to the next stage and reverberate through deep space.
Usually my concepts generally revolve around the notions of recollections, everyday life, and the humdrum verve we all lead that would range from our problems, to that of fears and also the anxiousness that prevails in the top of our minds. One can also call my work as the conglomeration of social, economic, emotive, political, issues we all face day in and day out in our lives!
