Anindya Mukherjee is a well known western style trained and Kolkata based painter. He was born in 1972 in a city of Kolkata. He obtained B.COM Degree from Calcutta University (1991). Diploma in Fine Arts from Academy of Fine Arts (1995-1998) Kolkata. He has done solo and group shows many places in India. His passion for art is reflected in each brush strokes and layer of color in his works. His paintings are mostly on womanhood and various expressions of faces. Bright colour and well defined brush works are the characteristic of his paintings. He believes that everything can be art the matter is how you compose them on to the canvas.
