He has also been awarded by Mrignayani Emporium, MP in 2011-12. Gond Painting derives its name from the tribe; the art is practiced by, the Gond Tribe from Central India. The word Gond comes from 'Kond', which means green mountains in Dravidian Idiom. Gond Paintings mainly depicts natural and mythological worlds, traditional songs and oral history. Opposite to the traditional painting Ajay has painted the nature black and white.
