About Artist
Amit Biswas is a self-taught artist who succeeded to put his name as a young promising artist of Bengal. His artworks are perfect blending of contemporary elements and traditional essence. He has great respect for our traditional folk culture, so that he has chosen conventional earth colours for his paintings. His super fine brush lines are quite famous towards the appreciative audience. Amit got selected in the prestigious 17th Asian Art Biennial 2016' Bangladesh, and participated in the National art exhibition on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, organized by NGMA and ICCR (2020). He also participated in many national & International art shows and workshops. He is co-founder of "Shilpocharcha Foundation", an organisation working on traditional and contemporary art.
Amit is a popular face on the social networking sites and a regular blogger, he runs an art and cultural blog "Drishyata", where he writes regularly articles on art and artists. He is also curating national & International shows on behalf of "shilpocharcha Foundation" and other artists organisations. His happy collectors are not only from his own land, but also from different parts of the globe.
