Based in Mumbai, India, Suvarna Sohoni is into graphic design since the last 12 years and has worked as
an illustrator since 2009. Her work is a combination of abstract concepts digitally rendered in painterly style. She loves to work with human forms and elements from nature to create metaphors which form the central theme of her work.
She starts with pencil sketches, creates line drawings digitally and then renders the work using textures
and digital painting. Textures like paper, board, wood, paint splashes and washes created with hand are
effectively combined with effects in Photoshop. The result is a well-balanced piece that is rich in color,
texture and style.
Her inspiration comes from nature, human emotion and relationships and situations from everyday life.
