About Artist

Born in 1972 in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, completed my M.F.A (Painting) from University of Hyderabad, B.F.A. (Painting) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. B.A from DNR College, Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. UGC NET 2014 DECEMBER(VISUAL ARTS).Batik painting -1998, Multimedia & Animation-2004. Art is a passion from my childhood. When I came to know that my passion can be chosen as a profession, I wanted my profession and my passion should be the same, so I discontinued the graduation program and joined BFA, specializing in painting from Andhra University. Then I finished my M.F.A degree from University of Hyderabad (Central University), Hyderabad.. My journey towards learning and creative thinking led me to focus on God and life so that I created an entire portfolio on this subject. Then I progressed to study Buddhism, I would like to express my feelings as an artist through Buddha series I felt blessed after doing Buddha series. My entire focus in art is generally figurative, I give importance and like representational forms rather than nonrepresentational forms, being the breadwinner of my family, my focus was completely on earning a lively hood. Thus I became too busy in taking home tuitions in art after the school hours, when I am travelling during the day in the busy streets, I have observed the rushing people, busy traffic, concrete jungle with heavy hoardings everywhere around me. All these accumulated thoughts in my mind helped me to form a different view about my surroundings. This experience made me to study my unconscious. My journey towards learning and creative thinking led me to abstraction which added a special flavor to my body of work with an unaltered, free flow of color. The transparency and texture gave my work a special feeling. My work largely draws from the subconscious. In the process of my art practice I just wanted to stop thinking and planning what to do on my canvas, I would like to do the work without any preoccupied thoughts. I wanted to do the painting exactly how my mind responds at that particular time in front of the canvas and I did it, I found the true joy of paintings in non-representational forms itself. Later on I understood that there is no scope of painting without preoccupied thoughts. Whatever I do that will be from my sub conscious mind so there is no point of painting without preoccupied thoughts.
