I am a Delhi based self-taught artist. I was born and brought up in a small town in Uttar Pradesh called Raebareli. In 1999 I shifted to Mumbai for university. Being a graduate from the reputed fashion institute NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), I have worked as head designer with few export houses. However, about four years ago, I decided to take up art professionally.
I work mainly with two mediums: Acrylic and ink. I prefer to paint portraits but I work in two different styles - one is realistic and the other inspired by Blythe dolls, celebrity characters in a doll form. The common factor in both types of paintings is vibrant colours. There is special emphasis on the eyes. I love making eyes. I believe they are the most expressive part of the human body. Currently I am working on a series of woman portraits, showing fearless and strong women.
Apart from doing commissioned art and custom product designing, I also provide wall mural services for corporations, as well as individual customers. Some of my clients are Cafe Delhi Heights, u2opia mobile, Hotel Lemon Tree, Guavus IT firm International Chef Christopher Clark, etc. I also sell a range of home decor products online inspired by my artwork.
