Born in 1987, Barun is a two-time winner of the Arnawaz Vasudev Charities Scholarship (2013 and 2014) and has a BFA in painting from the College of Art and Design, Burdwan University, West Bengal and an MFA in the same discipline from S. N. School of Art and Communication, Hyderabad Central University.
