The 1956-born Anita Saran is a self-taught artist with four solo shows of her paintings in Bangalore. Her colourful expressionist and surreal art inspired by Dali, Van Gogh, El Greco, Rousseau and Pollock celebrates the Femine Mystique and Nature. She has recently illustrated her book ‘Kali’s Lament & Other Poems’ which won the 21st Century Emily Dickenson Award in November 2024.
