Abak works primarily in watercolour and tempera mediums. He uses sharp, bright colours and minimal line art to create delicately atmospheric pictures with gentle imagery. Light and shade play a large role, with brooding deep colours contrasting the translucent, almost glowing hues used for the lighting. He lives and works in Kolkata.
