Description

Our body as the dehotattwa represents is the microcosm of the higher universe. In a very simplistic way the body is represented as the upholder and creative space of all the principalities that govern the universe. The dehatattwa says that when the final realization is reached it opens up the nine doors of our human body. The final realization is only reached when the inner essence of existence is understood. It leads to the opening of the man sublime within man, the real self and hence the atma darsana is achieved. It is when the real soul is identified within the body it is like recognizing God. The achin pakhi is the unknown soul which resides in our caged bosom. With the flee flying of the achin pakhi our mind and soul transcends into the other horizon beyond our sensitivity. In my sculpture I have represented the human rib cage as the cage and achin pakhi as the rendition of our human soul. In my wooden carved sculpture I have carved out the nine doors of our human body. Overall I have tried to engulf the principalities of life and the human body as the bosom of God. I have tried to portray the human body as the temple and the soul as God. The more easily we open up the nine doors of our body and allow the free passage of our mind and soul it transcends us to reach God easily.
