I love painting in a realist style and my subject matter is not limited to any one category. My aim in painting is to communicate the feeling of a moment and, the things that define the moment for me are those temporary, transient qualities like the wetness after a spell of rain or the dramatic play of light and shadow. Light is an important feature in most of my paintings. More often than not it is a particular quality of light that initially attracts me to a subject.
