This beautifully refined hand-lathed bowl is called a ‘bhiksha Patra’, made from local 'rohida’ wood that is known for its dense grain and strength. The Kharadi Muslim community of Rajasthan make these paper thin bowls that are used by Shwetamber Jain monks who renounce their worldly possessions and travel by foot to collect food.
Instructions For Use:
Use this fragile bowl with care for only dry edible items. This bowl comes finished with olive oil but we recommend oiling it with any cooking oil before and after each use.
