Description
A plein air painting made at the banks of Sattal Lake in Uttarakhand, India.
The painting was made in the dying light of day and while surrounded by bushes and shrubbery. The surrounding wild plant growth framed and at times even overlapped the canvas while painting. This element of merging with nature finds a reflection in the painting as well. Textures have been used to portray the surrounding plant growth.
The colours and strokes are used in an attempt to capture the rapidly changing light and movement of nature in the moment.
