Atish Mukherjee’s fascination with folk-art led him to experiment with forms and concepts. He researches his medium before working with it, be it tempera on stretched cloth, metal or terracotta. This work too reflects his deep understanding of folk and rural art, and his perception of certain elements of nature which he uses to depict human forms and faces. Atish’s artworks are one of a kind, as he is constantly reinventing himself.
