Sailesh Sanghvi has been devoting his time to fine arts, since his schooldays, and has had many private exhibitions of his paintings to date. As an artist, Sanghvi, has refused to travel on the beaten path, giving himself time to explore both his subject-matters, and the various mediums in fine art.
Throughout his creative journey, the artist has experimented with many mediums, fearlessly exploring new vistas, eager to search out his identity as an artist. Sensitive to the variegated, colourful moods of nature, As well as the joy of working in pure colours and abstractions, and playing with forms and colours, the artist, finds immense creative satisfaction, and freedom in his abstract works. Taking his inspiration from nature and the changing seasons, he has given his imagination free-play, producing works that are both vibrantly colourful, and meditative thoughtful.
The artist, Sailesh Sanghvi, through his canvas collages has explored the folklife of India, depicting it in vivacious, ever-changing colours and moods, expressing the vitality of human life. If in one work the folks are busy with the daily grind of life, in the next, there is the joyous, dancing colours of festivals and fairs. These art-works are like the ever moving feet, and ever changing moods of the folk dancers whom the artist has depicted on many of his canvases.

'Banaras' Enters Amitabh Bachchan's Life Again And This Time It's Not Through A Paan!

Mr.Sailesh Sanghvi has seen 'Don', the 1978 film that has Amitabh Bachchan singing the iconic song about a Paan from Banaras (with a mouth full of it). But when he created an acrylic collage of the city on canvas, piece by piece over 3 months, he neither had the song in mind or knew that he would be presenting it to the actor himself someday! Well, Mojarto.com (NDTV's online art venture) with whom Sailesh is registered as an artist, created this opportunity at the recent NDTV India Youth Conclave, where Mr. Bachchan was present. In fact, on receiving it he went through it with the artist in detail and told him he had never seen work like this before and would put it up in his office. Now, the 'never' part does hold as according to Sailesh he is "not aware of anyone else who has created the same, at least in India". But what took all by surprise and possibly left inspired, was Mr. Bacchan's reaction to being asked if he was an artist- "I'm not an artist, I don't know how to paint or play a musical instrument, but I do hope to learn someday", was his reaction! And oh yes, he did add "I just act". Humble indeed, but the desire to explore yet another art form at an age when many would widely believe he will 'retire' soon, speaks of a never-ending hunger to create and express, something that leaves him nothing short of a true artist. He did also spill the beans about his granddaughter being quite a good artist!
