Raveendran Valapad hails from Thrissur which is the cultural capital of kerala, the God's own country , living as a practising artist in Cancuperik Creative Center, Triprayar.

I have invented style Cancuperik, wonderfully amalgamates the vibrant and rich colours of acrylic media and skulpture patterns of copper media to materialise and enchanting expressionalistic world, the meticulous details that is evident in each piece of work is the result of tremendous effort which he puts in each of his Cancuperiks.

Cancuperik which derived from Can from canvas and Cu, the chemical formula of copper and perik which denotes combination from Latin/french which amalgamated both in verbal and material to produce a new art from with help of basic geometric shapes, like triangles and different polygonal motives in relief manner on the surface with copper plates, also without using any mechanical device to create his own language with mixed media acrylic and copper sheets which other people can never reproduce of using printing techniques.
