From the early days of my exploration into art, my inspiration has been my homeland, Kerala. The moniker, 'God's Own Country', doesn't begin to sum up its tremendous creative power. Its art traditions, the vibrant hues of its nature, the earthy tones, the colorful people, the simplicity of everyday life, all inspired me from the very beginning. Whatever style or palette I explore, these conscious or subconscious influences manifest in my work. I have always been fascinated by the unique temple murals of Kerala and other folk arts of India. Ravi Varma's blend of realism and mythology has been a source of inspiration as well. It has been a labor of love for me to create my own style out of this amalgamation of influences. Ultimately, my pursuit is to capture the grandeur, the essence, the joy of the moment, however simple or complex it may be, in a way that makes life a little more beautiful.
