I love colours. I express my experiences of this living world on canvas with the help of colours. Since the medium is colour and not words, the works cannot be read but experienced. The forms that emerge out of colours are intangible and the onlookers should understand them with their own point of view. I do not like to restrain colours inside boundaries identifiable forms. As the Great artist Van Gogh said: Colour has his own Existence and its presence expresses.” I strongly agree with this statement.

I work on Canvas, with the mixed medium that is acrylic, oil, dry pastels and paper. I generally like to work on acrylic. It suits me. Nature inspires me a lot, whatever we see around us. The title of this painting is “When I feel the warmth” which is when I felt the sun. I have tried painting the rays of the sun. I have used warm colours, like red and orange. I have made tonal variations with these colours. I have tried to bring out the strong rays of the sun.
