Keshav Roy comes from a distinguished Raj family of Bengal. His great grandfather Late Maharaja Sir M.N.Roy Chowdhury, of Santosh was a great patron of the arts. His grandfather, Late Maharajkumar Robin Roy of Santosh was a nationally well known sculptor, artist and philosopher, one whose works can be found in several important art museums and collections across the world.
Keshav is an expressive artist who paints in a variety of mediums and specializes in Conti and Charcoal, which help to convey his vibrant inner spirit. His style is defined as original, intuitive, and imaginative, creating paintings based on an emotional response to the subject. The most consistent elements in his work are simple shapes and harmonious color expressing to the viewer a unique perspective of life.
His art is narrative in its style creating images, moods and compositions that inspire curiosity and have personal resonance and humour. For these reasons, Keshav usually sticks to very recognizable subjects while attempting to introduce a slight shift of perception that will tease his viewer away from seeing just "another nice picture".
In his words, “I've always known that creating art was a primal calling for me. In 2002, after having earned a number of degrees in business abroad, I began to study art seriously and most of my artistic development has been the result of self-directed study of art books, workshops and my interactions with professionals and masters around the world. I create art primarily for the joy of the experience; however, part of that joy is derived from thinking of the response of the viewers. There is no greater indicator of viewer response than sales, so I have to admit that public response and the resulting sales motivate me."
He has participated in several group shows in Malaysia, UAE, UK, Australia and India. Recently his work has been juried into shows in Brunei and Jordan.

I am very happy and glad to say that the first painting which was sold on Mojarto was mine, Titled - Sunflowers! After that I have sold many paintings on Mojarto website without any problems. Mojarto service is very prompt. All the operations on the website, right from registration, uploading the works and selling them, has been a very good experience for me. Over the last 8 years their progress is unbelievable. They have increased their clientele all over the world. Now Mojarto is a complete reliable source and a platform for many upcoming and eminent Fine Artists to showcase their works. I am very happy to be a part of the Mojarto network!
