Trained in Art with a Masters degree in Psychology, my works has been part of many exhibitions since early 90’s. I have been consistently showcasing my works in India and abroad, apart from doing commissioned projects for corporate houses. My paintings are semi-abstract with the suggestion of a female form, architecture, musical instruments, or some combination of these elements. They simultaneously explore colour, texture, line and form, not as juxtapositions or layers but as integral to one another. My recent exhibition was at the Gandhi Centre, Washington DC.

Apart from painting, I am also a passionate documentary filmmaker, the performing arts, films and literature. I am also an art curator at Dakshinachitra, Heritage Museum in Chennai.

While I am primarily an abstract painter, i also have been revisiting temple murals of Tamilnadu. My latest works combine these two styles in my signature colour palette.

    Gita: Abstraction Meets The Real

This is a style where I've combined abstraction and temple mural figures. This is a series I did for Allianz, Pondicherry which is my most recent solo show. This is also one of my recent series which was titled ‘Crimson View’.
