  • Award & Recognition

The exhibition 'Somewhere in the World' recognized the photo-poem as a unique art form. Conducted in 2016 in Bengaluru, the media picked it up to feature across several publications.

Bangalore Mirror (The World Through Their Eyes; August 3rd, 2016)
"Somewhere in the World which seeks to demonstrate that regardless of geographical and cultural differences, there are similarities between the emotions of people all over the world. Joy, anxiety, regret, loneliness, passion...our common humanity. It is what the exhibition truly celebrates."

The Times of India (Frames, words capture the mundane, show life is same despite geographical boundaries; July 27th, 2016)
"While the photos, clicked by Bernadette in Paris, Amsterdam and Prague, depict a commoner's life in Europe, the poems penned by her husband Philip revolve around everyday emotions. Thus, each piece seeks to bridge the two different art forms."

New Indian Express (Photos spill out of frames, into poetry; August 10th, 2016)
"The photographs clicked by her transport you into another world and his poems guide you through it. With a concept they call ‘Photo-Poems’, Philip John and his wife Bernadette Lobo make sure every visitor gathers a story."
