About Artist

I am a contemporary artist and with my vivid forms of art works I have experimented throughout my life as I ventured upon new ideas and have successfully crafted each of my desires in the form of Art and Scluptures. Being an artist for more than 35 years I have lived my life with great joy and have encountered life’s challenges with great vigor.
In my take on life I have visited many places and I have been fortunate enough that in my course of life I have been able to visit many foreign places and have encountered many foreign delicates and elite eminent’s and had the privilege by which they had been delighted enough to be a collector of my art works.
As music flows though my veins I use the Violin to express my thoughts as I do with my art works. Recently I have taken a turn towards Indian miniatures based on Indian Classical Raga and it has provided me with a huge round of applause among the art lovers and the art society.
Prior to this I have base my art works with figurative and abstract modes of paintings, which were of immense appreciation among the art circle.
I as an artist started my life with Portraits and Landscapes in Oil on Canvas and gradually I have shifted my creations towards the modern way of art and styles, venturing towards other forms of media – Tempera, Water, Acrylic, Dry Pastel, etc. with a distinct modern approach holding my base as an ethnic Indian with India roots.
I completed my studies form the Government College of Art and Crafts in Kolkata in 1988 ( BVA in Western Style ) , but prior to that I completed my initial graduation B.Sc. from Calcutta University. Though my days of learning as a student are over but life itself is a roller coaster with twists and turns to learn in each step we take, and taking this in my mind I have been in the teaching profession with prospective students which are in this industry of Art, Design and Fashion.
